This year the Day Lilies have been extraordinary. It has looked like the entire yard was blanketed in orange. Four years ago a hail storm stalled over our house for an hour and completely snapped off nearly every Day Lily bud. It was a sad day. The light the night this photo was taken was unbelievable and back-lit and tipped the flowers so that they glowed. This is upper pond, which is one of three koi ponds at Dix Baines Studio.
